Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. (For details, please visit the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation's Defective Product Recall Technical Center at www.samrdprc.org.cn/xfpzh/xfpgnzh)
Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on Sept 19 upgraded its shared airline rebooking service for the Hongqiao-Shenzhen Bao'an air-express route.
It covers over 80 percent of flights operated by China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Juneyao Air.
Economy-class passengers holding tickets priced at 60 percent of full fare or higher may rebook to the same sector within four hours before or after their original departure, subject to seat availability. Codeshare flights are excluded.
Tickets purchased at 80 percent of full fare or above incur neither change fees nor fare differences.
Those priced from 60 percent up to but not including 80 percent are exempt from change fees but must pay any fare difference. Each ticket qualifies for one complimentary change.
Rebooking is allowed only for travelers without checked baggage and must be completed at airline-designated counters before departure.
Hongqiao Airport launched its express package in September 2023, offering dedicated check-in counters, security lanes, priority boarding and fixed baggage carousels with last-bag delivery within 30 minutes.
In May 2025, the airport added a similar service on the Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing Capital route.
Now the first airport in China to provide interline voluntary ticket changes on two express routes, Hongqiao Airport operates 78 daily flights to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and 68 to Beijing Capital International Airport — advancing its boutique airport initiative to deliver broader, seamless transfer options.
