Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights

To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

2 Passenger security check Average passenger security screening waiting time Peak hours Peak hours: 06:30-07:30 and 11:30-13:00. Passenger queue waiting time is 10-15 minutes or less. (95% of passengers wait no longer than 10 minutes).
Average passenger security screening waiting time Non-peak hours Passenger queue waiting time is ≤8-15 minutes (95% of passengers wait no longer than 8 minutes).
3 Baggage claim Flight first baggage arrival time at the baggage carousel For 95% of arriving flights, the first checked bag will be delivered to the carousel within 10 minutes after passengers arrive at the baggage claim area; for the remaining 5% of arriving flights, delivery will be completed within 25 minutes.
Flight last baggage arrival time at the baggage carousel For 95% of arriving flights, the last checked bag will be delivered to the carousel within 30 minutes after passengers arrive at the baggage claim area; for the remaining 5% of arriving flights, delivery will be completed within 50 minutes.
